Capital Development Board to release grant funds
Gov. Rauner announced during the week that he has ordered the Capital Development Board (CDB) to release grant funds to more than 20 capital projects statewide.
The approvals include Civic Center Grants, Community Health Grants, public library construction appropriations, and infrastructure and capital improvements for higher education institutions.
Before this week’s authorization, the last grant payment made for these capital projects was in Fiscal Year 2015, and due to Illinois’ budget impasse, the final payments had been placed on hold. CDB will send the remaining grant funding owed to each organization so they may resume and fund their construction and improvements.
